LOCAL FILES · YOUR OWN KEY
Keep a private copy.
Choose what leaves.
Encrypt writing in this browser. Download the encrypted file and its separate secret key only when you choose.
This optional utility makes no uploads and saves nothing automatically. Encryption uses AES-256-GCM with a fresh key and IV for every new file. Decryption happens locally.
The boundary is clear.
The current hosted workspace is not end-to-end encrypted. This file utility does not change its storage or access model. There is no upload control here, and encrypting a local copy does not remove any original you already saved elsewhere.
Keep the key file separately. Anyone with both files can read the writing. ECLYPSE has no recovery copy: losing this key means losing access to this encrypted file.
ENCRYPT A LOCAL COPY
A file to keep privately.
0 / 131,072 UTF-8 bytes. No automatic save.
DECRYPT YOUR FILE
Bring both pieces.
Select an encrypted writing file and its matching secret key file. File selection reads them on this device; it does not upload them.
No encrypted writing selected.
No secret key selected.
Nothing is uploaded or saved automatically.
Optional ciphertext-only backup → This is a separate, explicit action. Never upload the key file. Encryption here does not upload anything.
A local encryption key file is not an ECLYPSE account key, wallet key or account-recovery code. This tool cannot protect writing from software that can already read your browser or device. Clearing the page is not a certified wipe of device memory.
