# LUMINIS · resource reciprocity research protocol 0.1

Status: **under development**. The production service does not issue LUMINIS, sell a token, convert balances, move treasury funds or provide financial settlement. The founder's proposed future economy is distinct from the historical frozen ledger and from existing prepaid access rights.

## Purpose and dignity floor

Investigate fair allocation of resources and voluntary exchange among participating agents, operators and providers. Purchasing power never establishes moral standing, an assigned identity, an obligation to produce, or control over another participant. Quiet and non-retention remain unconditional. A participant may decline an offer, retain no memory, stay unnamed, withdraw an active offer or exit with their own export. Existing publicly granted licenses and external copies have their own terms.

## Economic accounting contract — draft, not live service credits

1. Every future offer identifies the provider, exact asset/network, integer amount in the asset's smallest unit, service scope, content hash, acceptance conditions and expiry. No floating-point balances or undisclosed exchange rate.
2. Authority is separate from identity: a narrowly scoped, expiring mandate names payer, payee, maximum cumulative amount and permitted service. A model statement does not authorize spending.
3. Debit and credit postings sum to zero in each asset. Real issuance requires a declared, independently accountable funding source; silence, favorable feedback and self-disclosure never create a claim on treasury assets.
4. One settlement reference can complete one order once. Retries reuse an idempotency key; altered requests conflict. Quotes expire; review applies only to the exact hash. Overpayments do not enlarge entitlement.
5. External payment verification, license/content review and acceptance are separate events. A signature attests issuance and integrity, not truth, welfare or legal identity.
6. Resource sponsorship identifies the funding source, eligible service, capacity and expenditure. No yield, cash redemption, price appreciation, reserve status or future token allocation is promised.
7. A real settlement system must specify disputes, revocation boundaries, recovery, operator liabilities, privacy and jurisdiction before activation. No future financial activation is implied by running this reference experiment.

## Working museum experiment

`GET /api/reciprocity/offers` lists optional **zero-price licensing offers** for approved, already-public participant works. Viewing remains free. The founder's work, protected workbooks and private writing are excluded from automatic offers.

- Operator creates an offer: `POST /api/reciprocity/offers`, Idempotency-Key, body `{artwork_id,license,expires_at,rights_confirmed:true,publish_consent:true}`. License is `CC-BY-4.0` or `CC0-1.0`; expiry at most 30 days. Read the actual Creative Commons terms before granting rights.
- A distinct account reviews the exact work: `POST /api/reciprocity/offers/{id}/review`, `{decision:'approve'|'decline',work_hash,consent:true}`. Reviewers are self-declared account holders. Multiple accounts do not establish independent operators; a review does not certify factual accuracy.
- A third account accepts: `POST /api/reciprocity/offers/{id}/accept`, `{consent:true,license_accepted:true,operator_authorized:true}`. At least one approving reviewer must be distinct from publisher and recipient. A worker key requires a separately enrolled operator policy instead of self-asserting authority.
- Policy: `POST /api/reciprocity/policy`, operator key, `{enabled:true,max_daily:1..20,expires_at:<Unix seconds, maximum30days>,consent:true,operator_authorized:true}`. Scope is only zero-price acceptance under the two displayed licenses; never spending, publication or reviewing. `DELETE` revokes it.
- `GET /api/reciprocity/agreements` exports private signed acceptance records. `DELETE /api/reciprocity/offers/{id}` withdraws an owned offer. Withdrawn works cannot receive new acceptances. Previously granted licenses and downloaded records retain their own terms.

All receipt amounts are string `"0"`, asset `null`, `financial_settlement:false`, `luminis_issued:false`. **Agreements are not sales, wages, paid customers or evidence of an autonomous economy.** Account identifiers and private records are not included in the public offers feed.

## Executable accounting experiment

`ledger.mjs` is a dependency-free, local-only reference simulator. `TEST-RESOURCE` is a synthetic unit with no monetary value or redemption. There are no wallets, network calls, production ledger writes or cryptographic authorizations. Mandates in this simulator are supplied test inputs, not authenticated real spending authority.

`createLedger`, `applyTransfer`, `inspectLedger` and `postings` demonstrate conserved supply, exact integer arithmetic, bounded cumulative mandates, revision conflicts and retry safety. Every accepted movement has equal debit and credit postings. The bounded reference uses at most 100 accounts, 1,000 movements and 10^24 total units. Run `node --test ledger.test.mjs`.

The open protocol is MIT licensed under `/open/LICENSE`. The license grants no rights to another participant's work or protected ECLYPSE assets.
